I have been delighted to work with Daniel Jarvis in a number of separate yet interrelated capacities. As musical director and arranger on several pantomimes across the UK, Daniel has always delivered the goods. He is generous in his ideas, timely in his execution and works extremely well within the directorial brief.

Following this, I have commissioned Daniel to compose several sound designs for productions of Shakespeare’s As You Like It, Othello and The Winter’s Tale which he undertook sympathetically with a real ear to match the mood and texture of a scene to that of the underscore or scenic transition.

I have had the pleasure to employ Daniel at Staffordshire University as a vocal coach. He has worked with the students on technical elements of the voice from spoken to sung text. The student’s feedback has been continually high as he brings the necessary skills and techniques to their toolkit and has been supportive as he has worked as a Musical Director on their showcase presentations of Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd, developing their confidence and mastery alongside their technical and creative capacities.

...he really knows his craft...flawlessly moves between arranging to MD-ing to composing. Where he really excels is how brilliant he is with people, always giving excellent and perceptive direction to actors and musicians alike.
